Special Thanks?
Does anyone know why in the beginning credits it says special thanks to Ashwariya Rai and Sanjay Dutt? They were not in the movie, so I don't understand why they were mentioned.Does anyone know how they helped the movie?
shareOriginally, Sanjay Dutt was to play Roy, Abhishek Bachchan was to play Dittu and Aishwarya Rai was to play Simmi. However, due to time constraints Abhishek got the role of Roy, and Priyanka Chopra and Ritesh Deshmukh was brought in to play Simmi and Dittu. However, the film, in its credits, thanks both Dutt and Rai.
its written as trivia for the movie. yah i noticed that too. thats why i showed up here to scoop around. 8)

It's a shame they were thanked because it's just a consellation prize.It also just makes us realize that they were supposed to be part of the movie and got jilted instead(whatever the reason).They should have just left well enough alone.

it says they couldnt be in it due 2 time-constraints.
so i think they couldnt commit 2 the movie coz they were 2 busy doin other stuff.
sanjay dutt and ash rai r bigger stars then abhishek and priyanka.... so i don't think the filmakers would hav knocked them off 4 the latter actors.
i think it may hav been a "thanx 4 nothing" after all..... or amybe they tried and filmed a few scenes b4 they couldnt continue anymore.
tru tru. i understand ur point. it just came across to me that way. secondly i dont know it would have worked out. either way i cant stress the what ifs u know? 8)

Sanju Baba couldn't do it due to time constraints but he suggested that Abhi do his role & Riteish for the role of Dittu.
Ash wanted to do Bluffmaster! but Rohan opted for Priyanka once he had Abhi playing Roy. Ash was actually kinda pissed that Rohan chose Priyanka as she had already lost Krrish to Prianka. Personally I think Priyanka was much better for the role than Ash.
