48 shades of Nick Donaldson.

Now, I can honestly say nick has 'some' acting abilities. But that is all they are limited to. But for him to star in a feature film is just insane. Firstly, have you ever seen pirate islands?? He ruined it. Had it not of been for this half-wit that show would have been enjoyable. Perhaps I would of let my children watch it. But NO. He had to be in it.... with his bleached hair and magic green shirt which somehow always managed to stay pristine clean. Are there washing machines on pirate ships or something? I didn't see any on Master and Commander (which was also a terrible movie: perhaps nick was assistant director or something). And it just makes me sad that he thinks he can get away with this.

Now, I have read the book 48 shades multiple times. And I just don't think he can pull off the role. I mean, his spectrum of emotions is limited to adolescent confusion, and mild anger. THAT IS IT! Perhaps if nick can somehow convey real emotion (love, anger... or hate) then this movie would be great. But I'm just not sure he can do it.

On a side note. Will Nick be wearing platform shoes? I ask as he is only 4 feet 9 and from what I understand his co-stars are pushing 6 foot: and it will be a hard task for the director to not only try to accell his acting abilities but no make him appear to be an adult. Which I do assume he is. Or will he keep his boyish Pirate Islands looks forever? We can only hope...

How Could my previous statement embarrass me? How I ask? Is it because I am truthful in my opinion (at least I gave one) or the fact that you are a Nicky D fanboy? I'm sorry to tell you but get a new idol, preferably one with recognisable acting skills.

and by the sounds of it, you do not rock either. in fact, if you honestly have enough time to sit around and comment on people's acting abilities, it sounds like you need a life, or if you're lucky, a friend. I am a fan of 48 shades and i'm sure if you were in it, they'd have to shut down production because no one would want to watch a movie with such an arrogant arse starring in it. But then you don't seem to have many great qualities and have to hide behind your "oh so" witty comebacks, so you'd probably just be the guy that the actors look at when they're feeling down so then they realise that there are far more people that have it worse off than them. in other words, GET A LIFE YOU FREAK

Panda_Man... I have to agree with Fake_08. You really do need to get a life. Why do you have this obsession with Nick Donaldson? He is an actor. It is strange that he has made such an impact on your life.

It is also odd that you sit around analyzing kiddies movies and then bitching about them on the net so often. Don't you have a job? Or friends?

I have seen 48 Shades and all the characters were wonderful. Nick is brilliant as Chris Burns (his shirt is pretty clean too). This movie is funny and reasonably true to the book. It's another great aussie film.

Panda_man- get off the computer and go and see the film (I think it "officially" opens next week). You'll enjoy it if you get over your unfounded bitterness about poor Mr Donaldson. In the mean time, find yourself a life.

The shirt obsession would have some merit if the actor was also in charge of wardrobe, and continuity, and was a producer of the show, and oh I dunno the director as well.

I think someone's jealous!!!! Nick is an amazing actor (he's studying at the Victorian College of the Arts- it's pretty hard to get into that place), not to mention a great guy. I'm sure you'll come up with up some snarky comment panda_man, but I can assure you your opinion is not well founded (although it does seem that you are stalking poor Nick).
48 Shades hasn't been released yet, so how can you possibly say it is a bad movie?
I'm positive we'll be seeing much more of Nick AFTER he finishes college. Then who'll get the last laugh?
