Don Henley

personally...i'd rather see/hear Don with the eagles rather than solo....i saw his "live inside job" show and watched the eagles farewell one show and thought that he was WAY better as part of the group than solo...no lack of respect to him...it's just my opinion

Well of coarse, its true in most any case. A band’s career will usually always surpass any of it’s member’s solo work. I haven’t seen Henley’s solo performance, so I can’t very well compare. But him alone wouldn't measure up, thats a given. But hey, Henley, and The Eagles ROCK!

I like the Eagles but Henley on his own gets a bit overbearing. His music is so cynical, it seems he never has anything good to say and often the songs are angry. If I want to be depressed, I'll put on a Don Henley CD. I do like a number of his solo hits but for the most part I find the message from Don Henley's solo work very downer and bit too cynical for my taste. Lighten up Don! The world aint that bad.
