Interesting low budget movie, great acting...

... but I wonder why this hasn't more publicity here. I picked up the DVD today in a local store, and don't even know if this one made it onto the big screens. Would be too bad if it didn't, because the acting is excellent and the story is ... well reminded me somehow to "Figh Club".

Christian Bale looks very sick in this!

Yes, this is all very true. I picked up the movie and it looked as though it would be good. Something that seemed pretty original. However, it did seem to have a sort of fightclub feeling to it, but when you think you have the movie solved going on the fight club theme, you soon discover otherwise. This movie deffinitely keeps you guessing throughout the entire movie and I wonder aswell; why was this not a box office hit or why have I not heard of this movie at all? I did a little research and I don't know if it has to do with the fact that this movie came out in the same month as Team America and Stephen King's Riding the Bullet or The Grudge and Saw but you never know.

Fight club??!!?? No way man. It was more like Memento. And yes the acting was great; it took me a while to recognise Christan Bale. He looks like a dead man walking, but when I did I knew the movie would be good. It has a few flaws though. Many people commit a hit and run every day, but they dont become like someone with insomnia. Besides not sleeping for a year will kill you or it´s impossible to do anything, like driving a car. Also, at a certain point he goes to his ´whore´ girlfriend, because he thought he was going crazy. Then why doesn´t he realize, after that, that what he saw was created by his imagination. That irritated me a little, but overall it was a fantastic movie and absolutely one of my all time favorites.

Yeah baby Yeah!

I think that good movies, especailly interesting ones, are going to go to the big screen less and less. we're gonna have to put out an effort to get to the cream of the crop from now on.

fight club meets memento. an excellent but confusing film. only now after explaining it to a friend do i partly understand it myself (or me being thick), but worth watching

Indeed. The plot summary on the back got my attention, which is very
reminiscent of Dostoyevksy; it even shows the cover of The Idiot at one
point. It's a decent movie with interesting and psychologically
believable characters, gloomy cinematography, and a good adherence to
the plot; the dialogue is great; no catchy phrases or cheesy allusions
to hallmark films, etc. (no Here's Johnny!) Not a fantastic film; but
better than most of the stuff that gets put out year after year.
