Are all Janices annoying people?

This woman was really repulsive. Even in friends! Although she was more entertaining than this one.

LAME movie.

people in this group don't know good from bad.
the fact that she was repulsive shows how good an acting job it was.

Indeed. I can project myself pretty deeply into some of these movies and it wasn't too long before I found myself muttering "witch" with a capital 'B' - and started laughing at myself. As you say, when they tick you off like that, you know the performer is doing a good job.

It also gave me a pause at how she played Janis, who was so adept in phrasing all those innuendos - especially about the coach and how easily his "friend", the principal, folded on him. Nowadays, word of mouth like that can destroy a man as people are too eager to believe the worst.

What sent up flares for me is when Janis started being SO pushy - and Alexandra Paul was SO wimpy. I almost cheered when she stood up for her daughter in the "drop her from the team" scene.

I saw her in a bit part in the movie forever mine (she was on the airplane) and it bothered me cause I couldn't place her face but I could picture her real crazy and mean. I finally figured it out. So I agree she must have done a good job cause I saw this movie many months ago and remembered her before I remembered Alexandra Paulin was in this

I don't know about people specifically named Janice, but some neighbors are really annoying and very nosy. I have a neighbor whom I am extremely reclusive from because of how much of a busy body he is. He comes off all nice at first, but if you don't open up to him with your complete history, he gets kind of resentful. He'll start making glib comments here and there, etc. It's really pathetic. I learned more about my across the street neighbor in 10 minutes after they moved out and a new family moved in (whom I also learned a lot about) because he has to know everything about EVERYBODY. And I didn't ask him about them either.

So yeah, there are some neighbors who are a lot like Janice.

I have a neighbor exactly like that -- I caught him peeking through my blinds one day so I slipped around the back came up behind him and asked "can I help you with something David or are you just being nosy? You know there are laws against this." He never bothered me again. I have been in this house for 23 years and STILL only know the names of 2 people on my street - it's BLISS.

oh my god I notice this too! there is a Janice in my school [spelled differently but phonetically her name is pronounced Janice]. she is slappable!

I also think that some names just coincide with 'off-ness'.

Ethan. two in my school need 1to1 paras due to ODD/random outbursts/whatnot.

Rachel. I have known two who are just obnoxious. literally climbing and walking the walls obnoxious.

apologies to those who are named either ethan or Rachel who are not bizarre.

Reading the paper can really be depressing. Mr. Dithers fired Dagwood again.
