Why didn't she grab the dog before they went into the bedroom?
Why did she leave that poor dog in the hallway before running into her room with her daughter at the beginning? She was crouching right next to him! Poor little guy

I never understood why things like this are written in movies/tv shows. even the stupid LHOTP episode 'may we make them proud' they have Mother Mary putting down the baby to run out when there is a fire. she just had the baby in her arms, why did she not take a half a second to pick him up again and go?
