Worst... Match... Ever!

what's the worst match you've ever seen?

Mine?...

Hulk Hogan Vs. Undertaker for the Undisputed Championship...

Taker had to tell Hogan to 'Jump' so he could get the worst... chokeslam... Ever! on him!

Quoth the Raven... 'Eat My Shorts!'

reply

I agree Hogan-Taker II did stink....

But worst match ever...

hmmmm....

Triple H-Eugene at Summerslam a few years back...

Eugene will never be no where near HHH's league and HHH won easily...

that match was a joke!

-The New Women's Champion Mickie James

reply

Worst match in my book was Mickie v Trish 1( the one where mickie lost due to her stupidity)

Your the ruler of two things. Jack and *beep* and Jack just left town.-Ash

reply

I have Uncensored 1999 on tape and if I remember correctly Virgil v. Stevie Ray bored me to tears.

reply

Trish vs Mickie James 1 was good, just like their wrestlemania match. Worst match ever has to be erm. I can't decide, there's so many to choose from. Ah, any of Hulk Hogan's matches except for his match against The Ultimate Warrior and his match against Vince McMahon both in WWE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9daCbAzCh0o&search=out%20of%20my%20way# Does this look fake to you?

reply

I would say mine would have to be, a recent one, Umaga vs. Flair. That match was horrible. I could barely watch it.

1: Uncensored 99 Vincent Vs Stevie Ray. Surprised anyone remembered this one. Vincent botched that move where both guys hit head first and as they both fall down Vincent was supposed to headbutt Ray low when he fell down, they screwed it up and you could almost hear the crowd moan. WCW used that one alot back in the day, it was funny the first two times but after you have seen what is supposed to be an accidental move used a dozen times it gets old. Plus the fact the winner would become leader of the NWO hollywood was retarded. I knew when both NWO's got back together Hogan was going to jump to the black and red since they were getting to be more popular. Black and White became the job squad basically.

2: Undetaker Vs Gonzalez from Wrestlemania 9.

3: Trish Stratus Vs Jackie Gayda. Jackie the most unworthy alumni from the tough enough show. There first match proved that quickly.

4: HHH Vs Steiner 2003 Royal Rumble, the majority thought this one sucked, for me I was bored with HHH and Steiner never deserved a world title position IMHO. Waltzes into the company after 10 years and immediatly gets a title shot and has a partial heart attack mid match, because of poor cardiovascular conditioning, all those juiced up muscles really sent his ring ability down hill over the years.

reply

For me the worst match i've ever seen is Savio Vega vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 12. Totally boring, dead heat throughout the match, and the finish went on for 7 minutes after the match had ended. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz...

The Ten Worst WWE Finishes Ever:
10) Orlando Jordan loses the U.S. Title to Chris Benoit in 30 seconds flat. Hell of an opener. (SummerSlam 2005)

9) After Stone Cold's neck is broken, he wins the Intercontinental Title from Owen Hart with a weak rollup. (SummerSlam 97)

8) Kurt Angle and Kane end their solid match with a poorly executed pin. (WrestleMania X-8)

7) When Ken Shamrock clocks Steve Blackman with some weapons in their Lions Den match, the referee inexplicably stops the fight, even though we are told the only way to escape is to leave the cage door. (SummerSlam 99)

6a) In a crowd-pleasing classic, Trish Stratus's knee gives out, forcing Mickie James to botch the Stratusfaction finish. They then improv a Mick Kick finale. (WrestleMania 22)
6b) This same duo tarnished a potentially good rubber match. Trish Stratus dislocates her shoulder, and Mickie James is forced to end the match with a weak DQ. (Backlash 2006)

5) After all of the hype, The Undertaker beats the snot out of DDP. And the move to end all things...a boot! Give me a break. (King of the Ring 2001)

4) The main event contest of Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice ends with The Ultimate Warrior, with a fresh haircut and less built physique, comes in and cleans house. "WrestleMania" ends with a DQ? If WWF only knew how Warrior would become nothing. (WrestleMania VIII)

3) After wasting 10 minutes of our time with staredowns and stalemates, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg go on for 5 more minutes with nothing but finishing moves. (WrestleMania XX)

2) Batista and JBL end their 20-minute borefest with a disqualification. (Great American Bash 2005)

1) The Montreal Screwjob - need I say more? (Survivor Series 97)

reply

I completly forgot the Austin Owen match. I think this match is overated because people don't wanna discredit Austin in a match where he was almost paralyzed.
But look at the ending. He grabs Owen by the boot and a knee pad and Owen falls backwards and lays there while Austin gets a three count that grandma could kick out of. Austin gets the IC title only to drop it because of the injury the following day. Title eventually goes back to Owen who drops it to Austin and the Survivor Series. Devalued the belt IMHO. Worst IC title change since Shawn coughing it up to Dean Douglas. That guy should not have been reconized as the IC champ.

reply

I don't know how none of you have remembered this match. It's hands down the worst of all time, for the fire paper incident alone.
It was also the worst PPV which could have been the best.

reply

Worst match was Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. Hands down, the most boring match-up of all time.

Your the ruler of two things. Jack and *beep* and Jack just left town.-Ash

reply

At least the crowd response gave us something to talk about with Goldberg & Lesnar.
The Warrior & Hogan match was in a crap promotion, on a crap PPV and between to guys with a combined aged of about 90.

reply

Yeah lob12004 i agree Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg at WM20 was seriously boring, I couldn't bare to watch it even more.

reply

the Hogan Vs. Warrior at WCW?I haven't seen that one but i heard it sucked hard.

Worst match for me was Goldberg Vs. Lesnar, watta let down.

if zombies attack us,i call shotgun

reply

Hmm ok more worst finnishers i WWE that i remember (no particular order)

Khali vs undertaker judgementday 06
Khali does his "axe punch" or how its called with his hand on takers head that apperantly knocks undertaker out cold.
Khali then stands still and scream for a good ten seconds before putting his foot on taker and wins by "pinfall"... take notes, now thats how you destroy a 10 year plus legacy of a dead man walking. I guess the match itself was equally disasterous i just skipped to the end to see who would win.

Goldberg(c) vs HHH at Survivor Series 03 (WHC match)

All of Evolution comes out to the ring (supriiiiise) at the end when the refere takes a bump but Goldberg knocks them all out with HHH:s hammer and then jackhammers HHH. Goldberg then goes for the cover but his body is like a meter above HHH and it also takes the ref. forever to regain counciousness and get back in the ring for the count during which time anyone of the Evolution members (who are lying two meter topps away from Goldberg and HHH) could at least try to interrup the referes really slow "i've been knocked out, again" count.
Goldberg still "manages" to retain his title with the funniest looking cover in a long time and J.R screaming "oooh my gaaawd who's ure dady tonight!?!" only adds to the commedy.
Goldberg loses the title anyway to tripps one month later at Armageddon...

Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels at vengeance 05 (i think)

This is their second match as Kurt wins the first at WM21 and its given that Shawn will win and tie this match.
Its a good match with lots of anglelocks but the ending ruins the match unfortunatly: they are both at one ring posts and shawn lying on the matt with kurt getting up and actually talks to shawn:
"so shawn lets end it by me going totally out of caracter and climping the top turnbuckle and going to jump at u with the 'ax handle puch' (dont know the name for the move both hands toghter for a punch) that i never ever would normally do but u super kick me and win, ok?"

Shawn of course see it comming and sweet chin music kicks him and covers him for the pin. Bad ending to a great match

more comming later

reply

Worst endings would have to be the Chavo v HHH match they had awhile back. They had Chavo showing his stuff against HHH with both looking great against each other and out of nowhere HHH pedigrees him for the win like always. Cheap way to end what was a good match.

Your the ruler of two things. Jack and *beep* and Jack just left town.-Ash

worst match ever would have to be stephanie mccmahon vs vince mccmahon in a father daughter i quit match at no mercy. It was an awful storyline, an awful match, and an awful idea to put a father and a daughter in a match against each other.

Lesnar vs Goldberg was pretty bad to because it was such a let down.

Johnny Boosta
Worst match I ever seen was Giant Gonzales vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 9. That was *beep* awful. Gonzales had no talent what so ever nor does the Great Khali.

reply

[deleted]

The way Gonzalez would sell being hit looked like when Scott Hall would do an impersenation of the Giant back in WCW.

reply

Definatly Unforgiven, i think 2004. All night Tyson Tomko was being annoyed by this man in a womans outfit and it turned out to be steven richards.

Then they have a match. Oh the irony. Ten Minutes of Tyson throwing him around and beating the hell out of him. I seriously wanted to go down a hole and die in this match.

reply

it was unforgiven 2004 tyson tomko vs steven richards

10) that was awesome!!!! the highlight of the PPV, not having to sit through a Chris Benoit match!

1) Actually, it was the single most awesome finish in WWE history!!! Bret Hart screwed Bret Hart.

reply

^I agree Bret deserved to be screwed. What lsoer refuses to lose a match? Oh that's right Bret Hart.

The worst match I've ever seen is probably that Mixed Tag Match involving Trish and Jackie Gayda. I don't think Jackie got one move right in that match.

reply

Hey shaun_r3 that was in Unforgiven 2004 where Tyson Tomko beat up that mystery lady who turned out to be Steven Richards.

reply

Hogan/Savage vs. Eight other guys from uncensored 96.

Fans were booing Hogan for years in wcw, but THIS was the match that basically said, "Hulk, go heel or go away".

reply

Hogan vs Undertaker III at Judgement Day 02

The first two matchess were poor but the finish of this was just the cream of the crap. Hogan can't jump for a chokeslam so they redid it for the win.
