ALOMST A PERFECT WRESTLEMANIA

It would be perfect if The Game won

reply

"This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time."

reply

Sorry.... perfect Wrestlemania?

1 overly short spot happy main event
1 awful main event that trip couldn't even save
1 set of tag team champs missing
1 awful playboy pillow fight
1 lame boogeyman squash match
1 dull new US champ mocing Eddie
too many lame saccharine Guerrero moments
1 pair of guys not getting the gold they have worked hard for
too many 'f'ed up' moves
1 awful Vinnie mac ego trip.

3rd worst WM ever!

I'm not controversial - I just say what others are afraid to say.

The biggest disappointment is truly the triple threat match for the world heavyweight championship. Man I expected a 25-30 minute match up. These 3 guys had the ability to carry good matches too. I can't believe the match ended in 10 minutes. It's not even about who won the match, cause I picked Orton, but Rey won, whatever. The point is, the match didn't live up to its expectations. That was the big and only clause in my view.

reply

yea the world heavyweight championship was really a let down, and to top it off rey mysterio wins a world heavyweight belt, he isn't even a light heavyweight, he is like what 170 pounds. such bull. and then need to leave eddie outta everything, he was put into the hall of fame and that is where i think his legacy needs to stay, he was great and i dont think he would want it any other way

reply

Greatest PPV ever in my opinion!

reply

yea dude... even I couldnt beleive the match ended that quickly... i was like WTF!! if they needed more time for two main events they should have left booker out and also the lame vince mcmohan match

"This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time."

reply

Come on, Edge/Foley exceeded expectations, especially given Mick's recent balloon impersonation.

reply

i LOVED it the only complantes are the crappy boggey man match and only 10 mintues of main thm,, ,WTF. god it fell short but still.......

I was pulling for HHH so much, dammit!!! I'm starting to hate John Cena less and less each time though. They both put on a great match.

Hands down though, I still say Wrestlemania X-7
is the greatest one of all time.

Heh, just a thought, for after the Boogeyman/Booker match (Sharmell barely did anything), remember when Oprahdust told him to just bring out his freaky side? He also told him to stick the worms somewhere on him too, it'd be the only way Booker would win.

After the match, when Booker is left in the ring, he could have picked up a handful of the worms or stuffed them in his trunks, then do the Boogeyman dance, then do the Spinarooni, but with ALOT more wiggling. Just a thought.
Actually that's what I thought he was gonna do, heh heh.

Always the 2nd time I watch a ppv that I think was really good, it seems worse. Then later on it's better again, weird.

MITB had to have been my favorite. I hope RVD uses the briefcase sooner than Edge did though.

Greatest PPV ever of all time in my opinion...

1 thing missing was an Ashley heel turn on Trish and siding with Mickie which I predicted.

Greatest PPV my @$$. It was better than the last few mania's i'll give u that but thats about it. Cena should have turned heel with HHH beating him. Randy should have won the title instead of the charity case that is Rey. Boogeyman shouldn't have even been there. Same as Henry. I'd have preferred Edge facing Taker than him. And the Rey match wasn't even the main event!!!!! It is tradition that the rumble winner goes on to face the champion of his choice in THE MAIN EVENT. Instead they came before a friggin Pillow Fight.

hell yeah i agree with everything lobl2004 says. Rey would never have won the belt if it wasn't for Eddie's death (RIP)
the only match that rocked was the hardcore match with one of the coolest endings ive seen in quite some time.
I was happy that Cena retained but he pulls of one of the worst submissionholds and it all looked way to fake when tripps tapps

reply

I would have to agree that Rey would have never won if it had not been for Eddie's Death, he would have not won if batista wasn't hurt, it was originally suppost to be Batista-Orton, He should have turned heel, and I agree that HHH-Cena should of had a double turn, but in my opinion, Greatest PPV ever, biggest thing missing was an ashley heel turn.

But it was the greatest PPV ever in my opinion, although ECW ONS II might have something to say.

I thought it was a great Wrestlemania. The triple threat was short, but still good. Rey Mysterio is a good champion. People complain about him being too small...but it's wrestling. Since when has wrestling been realistic?

reply

I'm pissed mostly about the fact that the Rey match wasn't last. It has been that the winner goes to mania in THE main event. Not A main event. The headline should have been Rey v Randy v Kurt. Not Cena v HHH. Granted HHH is a great wrestler but they just wanted to piss the loyal fans off to holy hell. Why else would they have HHH tap out to the gayest submission move? And whoever believes this is the greatest PPV ever should be shot, revived by paramedics, shot again, revived again, and be thrown off a cliff onto a giant bed of spikes. And then the corpse shall be taken from the spikes, placed in a fire, ashes placed in an urn, and the urn shall be a part of the next rocket flight to the sun where it shall explode for the remains shall never return.

Well, that's my opinion, and if u don't like it, then too bad, but I'll agree that the triple threat should have been last though, and the RR winner goes to the ME, which should have happened, now, that was as bad as Austin-Hogan ideas for WM23, which won't and should not happen.

-Women's Champion Mickie James

reply

It's not that I didn't like it. Like I said it is better than the past few manias. Its just its closer to the worst mania's rather than the best.

i have nothing agains Rey as a wrestler, he's the best cruiserweight there is (in WWE) but that just that, he's a cruiserweight and at least by my definitions dont belong at all in the world title consideration and has nothing to do as the WHC and yes wrestling is not known for beeing realistic but when a small cuddly cruiserweight wins the world title it just gets to much even for wrestling standards.
And this should also have been the MAIN even at WM but maybe Vince felt it was a safer bet to have tripps and cena in the main event. The rumble winner should be in the main and final event at WM
A big reason that he's been a poplaur champ is because of the JBL angle (before he got fired) as the arrogant imigrant hating american that Ray battle against.

It would have bben a perfect Wrestlemania if these certain things did or didn' t happen:

what should have happened:

Triple H should have won the WWE Title

What should'nt have happened:

Booker T & Sharmell vs Boogeyman
Pillow Fight

reply

I have no complaints over HHH losing in the eyes of the PPV as a whole. That result did exactly what it was supposed to, drive the fans crazy. And I agree with the Boogeyman match. I dont even remember what happened but I know it involved worms and the pumphandle slam like all of boogeymans matches.

I aint a rey fan but seriously who would want that world heavyweight title anyway. If you think rey mysterio is a charity case and it is a sad day that he gets the belt you must not have seen when david arquette won the title just to support the gayest movie I have ever seen. A lot of wrestling greats held that belt and when vince russo put that strap on david it ruined everything that championship was.

reply

What should have happened:

Rey turned heel and wins the belt

Ashley turns heel and sides with Mickie(#1 thing that was missing)

But greatest PPV in my opinion.

What mania do you hate the most adam?

Personally my least favourite would have to be 22 or 23. God awful!

it would have been perfetc if HHH had won the WWE title, if Orton would have won the WHC and if Booker T had been in the MITB match. But overall it was a great WM, one of the best ever just behind WM 17 and 19 IMO.

reply

Well fair enough steve but i disagree. I couldnt stand mania 22 and this years was the worst IMO
