During the film, before Karol became the Pope there is a scene where he takes a youth group for a hike and river rafting. Someone asks him about sexuality to which he responds: "Sexuality is dear to God as long as it is within the confines of true love. Otherwise it is just another way for us to dehumanize one another." (Probably not verbatim, but close enough). Does anyone know if he actually said that or if that was written specifically for the film? Do you know of any good sites with actual quotes from Pope John Paul II?

He said much more on the subject, but the quote is correct. You can read his Theology of the Body-essays and his book 'Love and responsibility.' It's a bit dense and might be hard to get through, but very deep and inspiring too.
