Was this shot in HD?

Was this shot in High Definition?

reply

The film was shot with the latest Panavision HD cameras. No doubt due to the expense of producing a 35mm print for theatre release, they have chosen to screen the film in select digital theatres that support the HD format of the film. The plus side of this is that the film will be seen in its optimum quality.

Another interesting note is that "One Six Right" is the first independent film to be released on the HD-DVD format, which is six times the resolution of the standard definition DVD release. You will need a DVD player that plays this type of disc.

As a future note, as per the company. "THey gambled on HD-DVD and lost. We are not planning on releasing on Blu-ray this particular film. Enjoy www.aviationepic.com.

This makes me mad, sad.

Been a year since contacting them (our flying club does love this film) and again they have stated that Blu-ray is not an option for them and to purchase it on DVD or look on my local PBS station. I encourage you to email them about bluray.

Yes. Yes it was. :)
