Disappointing

I hate to knock the film because I agree with the intent. Yes, let's educate people on why we need to save our GA airports.

But I see this film more as a PR campaign. Great in flight images and background on Van Nuys, but not really a film *about* flying IMO. At least, it wasn't what I was hoping for...

I totally agree. This is not a movie about the romance of flying. It could have been but wasn't.

Obviously neither of you fly. If you couldn't feel the passion about flying in those people voices you never will.

I agree with the 2 first posts, as a pilot, I found this film inspiring and conveyed the passion of flight to pilots very well. I have tried showing it to a few non pilot friends and they could not sit and watch the entire thing and were not able to connect to it. I have watched it over 25 times now, my wife has not been able to set and watch the entire thing either.

I too thought this came off as more of a PR campaign to promote the airport and general aviation.
I was expecting more about the golden age of the 30's - 50's, and celebrities at the airport.
Also I could care less that it had "an original score". I would rather listen to engines than music. It was mostly sad, seeing how this airport built in the boonies is now engulfed into urban blight.
