Its definately something more than flying nuns and impersonaters. Its all metaphorical. (I just finished the film, so I'm trying to sort out all the metaphors myself, but in a few days, I might have it all sorted out. lol) It didn't seem like Marilyn had great self-esteem, otherwise she would have been living as her own identity. It didn't help that her husband was neglecting her and was downright mean. That have have contriubuted to her suicide.
Also, the real Marilyn Monroe may have commited suicide (depends on who you ask) and maybe she wanted to go down like her.
Pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space 'cos its bugger all down here on Earth.
