What will it be like in the new context?

It should be interesting to see this movie after MJ's untimely passing - anyone watch it post his passing yet?

reply

I don't think his death will change it much. Most of the other celebrities being impersonated have been dead for years. Now I just see him as even more of a tragic figure than before.

Totally had a different feel.

thanks for the input - wanna see it again with some friends that have never seen it before - Will post what the responses were too, thanks for your feedback.

I haven't watched the film since MJ's passing, but I did watch the film with my mother the night before they announced he had died. I thought it was a strange coincidence.

His death has no bearing on the film... it's not really about MJ, it's about someone impersonating him and knowing he's an impersonator, not trying to be the real MJ. They guy knows he's an impersonator. I'm pretty sure everyone else that is impersonated in the film is dead as well, so what does it matter?

unless you are overly morbid and only relate death when you think of MJ, then it shouldn't make any difference when you watch the film. MJ did much more with his life than just die, and the fact that people relate that and nothing else is sick.

I was a little freaked out when I saw this for the first time this summer. MJ was dancing around telling old people DONT DIE! YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER! Then, literally 2 days later, he dies.
