I saw this movie when it came out and just rented it over the weekend. It is my kind of horror, very supernatural, which I love.
I can't shake the basement scenes, they haunt me. It is as if the basement was an entry to hell? I say that because s she went walking through the passageway in the basement, she heard like moaning and people struggling to breath. And then the ghostly figure that appeared just before she left.

The basement scenes were horrifying, but I think she was curious as to what was down there. So damn creepy.

You are dead on the money!!! That basement scene in this film, literally scared the h*** out of me. I am glad to know that I am not the only person in the world that realizes how scary that basement scene is!!!
I share your opinion for this film. My favorite horror, is also supernatural horror!! We are kindred spirits in that regards!!
This movie is very disturbing and scary to say the least. I realized one thing, after viewing this film!! Don't underestimate the Russians!!! They know a thing or two about horror films!! This is a Russian made horror film, and they obviously did there homework on the production of this film.
I give it six skulls out of ten!!
It is a very scary and disturbing film to say the least!! But that basement scene was terror filled with horror!!!

Most definitely a very unnerving scene which simply adds to the craziness.....how can such a big place appear so claustrophobic?!

By the way - the film was made with Spanish money, on location in Bulgaria, representing a Russian setting....

It's even more "international!" Original script by a Canadian (named Hussain) produced by a Cuban and a Texan, and subsequently made with additional writing by a South African and by its Spanish director, who films it in Bulgaria.

This is a Russian made horror film, and they obviously did there homework on the production of this film.

I love it when people don't have a clue to what they're talking about!!!

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
