Probably been mentioned dosens of times but... SPOILER?

Later in the film when Marie gets into the truck to leave and the ghost of her mother is banging on the window, the "overanalyze everything" part of me keeps asking: if Marie had the truck, her mother couldn't use it to get away... so I imagine the mother would die at the house, as would the twins if no one went to 'check up' on the family. Then all the rest would have never happened... would that make Marie's daughter disappear?

what do you guys think?

From what was partially explained is that it wasn't actually reality, her mother was a ghost, and it wasn't actually the '60's. So it wasn't really the day she drove her babies to safety, it was still 2006. Another clue is that it was day when the mother crashed at the rescuers farm, but night when she was banging on the car window.

Agreed, except that I don't think the mother was an actual ghost, just part of the recreated past.

At the start of movie when Marie first arrives at the her parental farm, it was morning when they started their journey, but night when they reached the farm. So it is safe to assume it takes long time to travel between two farms and that's why when mother reaches at the rescuers farm it is morning.
