Thoughts on Doppelgängers (Spoilers).

I always had the impression that the Doppelgängers were not trying to harm Nikolai and Marie, but warn them. I even thought that's one reason why Marie's Doppelgänger gave her the "kiss" which literally took her breath away--she (Marie) just didn't seem to understand the true danger she was in. I know it is Nikolai's theory that they simply can't kill them yet, but that also doesn't go along with--it's been awhile since I saw the film, so if I make an error here, apologies--Marie as a Doppelgänger being the one who "runs into" the real Marie as she enters her father's office building in an attempt to stop her. It might also be a part of why they don't speak. Anyone else agree or am I just nuts?

I'm watching it (in pieces) now ... I agree that the doppelgangers are a warning but I was thinking that Marie and Nikolai are stuck in a loop and once they meet their end, it will begin again.

EDIT - finished it today. Now I know what's what. What I need to know is how did the daughter draw her conclusions.

Yeah, it's just a loop. Nikolai caught on; they can do nothing but relive it.

For some reason I don't get, they are cursed along with the mother & father. They will repeat it forever.

How the daughter knew this, w/o Marie ever telling her, I don't know.

At least, she will break the chain. Probably.

The Dad said she was the only one missing, so will he find a way to entice her, or will she escape the curse?

I guess that's the final mystery.
