It's odd how he's loved by many liberal celebrities

Like just from a quick YouTube search I see he's been on the David Letterman show, Bill Murray was talking kindly about him, he was on the Bill Maher (he's actually an animal activist) show. Have they seen the episode where Anthony went to Canada to go seal hunting? He actually did shot a seal to death. It's odd because I'm sure those same celebrities would speak out against seal clubbing that goes on in Canada. Why is Anthony immune to this criticism? It's kind of like how whenever people talk about whaling Japan is always mentioned but never Norway.

THe difference is that the Inuit kill seal to eat while those who you'd think would be mad are against hunting seals just for fur.

Anthony is Inuit?

It is a travel show, it would fail miserably if it didn't pay attention to local customs. The inuits were gonna kill the seal anyway, and it's not the same as hunting for sport or fun. They do it for subsistance.

He went specifically to an Inuit seal hunting community, it's not just something that sprang up quickly and he had to improvise.

louis theroux did some documentary about safari hunting in africa
he got the opportunity to kill some animal but refused to do so

i would think it's better being consistent
