Question on the Recylarola

Couldn't that cause problems with bugs/animals getting inside? It's essentially a hole in the side of your house.

I see your point, however, on the exterior side of the wall there should be a flap of something. Choose whatever you like: Leather, cloth, plastic, masonite, etc...

so if there's a flap on the exterior wall then it should work well enough to keep bugs and animals from getting inside.... unless they figure out how to open a flap.

I actually installed one of these in my house a few years ago, and I put a door over it, on the inside of the house.

It's basically a piece of half-inch oak that I had milled around the edges to match my cabinets, and it swings on two small cabinet spring-hinges. I also put a square of 1/8" rubber insulation on the inside of the door to keep the cold from coming in, and to keep it from slamming so loudly.

So far, I've had no issues with bugs, but the inside of the tube can get a little cruddy from soft drink drippage, which may attract ants, so it's a good idea to hose it out every once in a while in the summertime.

I cannot drive a shifter car, alright, so we got a little situation here.
