Show Review

Too much "project" and not enough Adam Carolla.

I agree, he should've done this at a less busy time. He had, what, five other projects going on? Still a good show, though.

Totally totally agree. Saying it that way probably sums it up much more than I could.

*beep* are his his friends boring to watch and hang out with? Did he get the only charisma of the whole bunch? Not too mention, how many grown men have that many old friends who are able to drop everything and do a construction show? It's really cool for him to include his friends and throw them some work I suppose. But I don't want to watch the process. Even his friends working with him on the podcast and radio seem to be decent enough, but not real quick.

In general I find Carolla a pretty funny guy. I think he's slipping into Hollywood a bit too much for his own good. Ironic since he grew up there, but you know what I mean, too much time working at stardom. 10 million dollar homes and nannies and exotic car collections tend to, by their nature, make him a bit more difficult to relate to. But He's still able to just talk about near anything and make it enjoyable and funny. And what was with his assistant. Part of Carolla's bit is how he acts like he's frugal. Already losing cred because of the above statements, paying a uber-flamboyant gay guy to follow you around is hardly an expenditure I want to support him for. I think he thought it was funny, but it seemed dumb. The whole Hollywood "Life Assistant" seems really stupid. You need someone following you around reminding you where to live at any particular time? At some point I bet Carolla would have lambasted the idea. It makes me realize he is just mugging for me to support this kinda stupid lifestyle and make me dislike a guy I want to like.

All said, Adam sitting in a room talking would have been more enjoyable than this show.
