shareNo that's just how Ed Harris normally acts. Or so we're told.

I think Ed Harris just has a natural gravitas or presence that lends itself well to megalomaniac characters.
It's fun to imagine he's drawn to egomaniac characters, and I have to believe they're a blast to play, but the guy's got such a monster body of work, I'd imagine you could extract any number of "obsessions" through selective cherry-picking.
There've been plenty of characters he's played that are more down-to-earth, like Dave Moss ("Glengarry Glen Ross") or Seth Frank ("Absolute Power").
