Why Did Charlotte Betray Musashi?

I’m really confused about that. She calls him up & basically threatens him or makes it clear that he’s going to be killed after informing him of Dolores’s betrayal which leads one to wonder how that translates to him.

Hey I understand Charlotte giving him a heads up to tell him that Dolores is double crossing everybody & to let him know to be on his guard but why is SHE trying to kill him? That Doesn’t make any sense. But by the way Musashi answered her phone call & told her “I’m so happy to hear from you!” & the way in which he said it in a mocking, condescending tone lead me to assume that maybe he was a part of what happened to Charlotte.

Not that he himself harmed her but he was ok with knowing that Dolores was using her as a sacrificial lamb, that he was in on it with her being setup for Serac. It’s the only thing that makes sense in order for Charlotte to do what she did. She told him, “I’ve lead sone friends who wanted to catch up with you to you”. So exactly where or “who” did they come from?

They weren’t from Dolores that’s for sure, did Charlotte reach out to Maeve to get them? Musashi tells Clementine, “Go back to your master, tell HIM, etc”. “HIM?” So it wasn’t Charlotte or Maeve that sent them? I’m doubting that she’d make any deal with Serac, all things considered but unless Clementine & the other lady who’s name I forgot we’re part of the “allies” that Serac promised Maeve to help her fight Dolores & ultimately it was his doing, then I don’t know what to think.

Anyone have any ideas?

Check out the divergence animation screen before the scene. It's the only time it says "Intervention In Progress".

My guess is that Hale was a hologram created by Serac since Rehobaum is listing it as an intervention.

And you're right, they showed nothing on screen that would otherwise make Hale allying with Serac after the explosion make any sense.

Got to admit I’ve never thought about that, good show Savant, even though I’m not sure how correct you are, it is a interesting answer. Well I was wondering how she patched herself up so well & where she could’ve went (undetected) to do it. But why would the show, bother showing a hologram making a phone call? How could a projection hold a phone?

I’m not entirely sold on that, if Serac was responsible & that indeed wasn’t Charlotte then just have a machine robocall Musashi & duplicate her voice. I’m guessing it was the real Charlotte that they showed so most of my questions still stand but thanks for the reply anyway.

Charlotte said that she "leaked" his location, so it appears Charlotte simply dropped some information out there which she knew Rehoboam would notice. Since Maeve was acting as Serac's agent both he and the system would've been following her operation to take out all the Dolores clones and capture the original (who he thought had the encryption key to the park data). Hence the reference to an intervention in progress.

Clementine Is also Delores 'brain', and attempts to kill Sato, Yakuza, who is presumably working for Serac - either that or he took a dislike to Musashi. The Japanese lady, whose name is Hanaryo kills Sato with a sword because Sato killed Musashi. Hanaryo is also a Host because she walks in the same manner as Delores and Clementine with their arms to their side. (Did you notice that 'brain copies' or clones of Delores always walk that way?)

There was a man who witnessed Charlotte's family car explosion. He was obviously the culprit. He was one of Serac's henchmen (and can be seen again in the final episode with Serac).
Although Charlotte still has Dolores's 'brain', she has changed her outlook on things because of the loss of 'real-Charlotte's family'. Mind you, we find out after William is killed by his doppelganger 'Man In Black', that this 'altered-Delores' still plans to build a population of Hosts.

JFYI, I noticed the name Gina Torres come up in the credits, so I check her out. It was Arnold's wife Lauren, who is now older. She has grey hair. In case you don't remember the name, Gina was the badass in the series Firefly/film Serenity.

Dolores placed herself in Hale, Musashi and Connells, along with her own body. But I think it ended there.

I took Hale-ores's call to mean she'd leaked Musashi-ores's position to Maeve

I'm pretty sure Clementine and Hanaryo were resurrected as Maeve's allies, not Dolores's spare pearls.

The reason I think that is that someone online managed to match one of Serac's host tanks to Clementine, somehow. Hale-ores busted Hector's pearl, but there were other tanks still making Clementine and Hanaryo.

Also, Hanaryo seemed especially pissed that Dolores would sully Musashi's memory by stealing his body. That sounds more like Hanaryo herself.

But you're right about the way they walk - I'm guessing that's how Stubbs identified Dolores when she was wearing Hale's body, last season. Tessa Thompson reportedly worked with Evan Rachel Woods for hours, trying to duplicate Dolores's body language and behavior without giving away the game too early.

EDIT: I forgot about Lawrence - looks like he's another Dolores-pearl (he gave Bernard the case from Musashi)

Ok I get it. I went back and re-watched the the other episode where Musashi appears, EP4 when he's battling Maeve with the Katana.

That's when Maeve outs Musashi as a sleeve being used by Delores. "The other pearls," Maeve tells him. "I assumed you brought someone else, but you just made copies of yourself."

"If you want something done right, do it yourself, I shouldn't have to explain that to you Maeve." Dolores-Musashi tells Maeve.

That's why in EP7 Delores-copy Musashi was happy to hear from Charlotte, it meant Delores plan was succeeding. Hale is taunting the Musashi-Delores copy that she's going to eliminate Delores' allies/sleeves by leaking her location.

"Her plan is for us to die. But I have a new plan. I've decided to streamline operations. I would've paid you a visit myself, but I'm a little busy. So I've leaked your location to someone who's eager to catch up with you."

Hale Delores achieved sentience, something the other Delores copies did not - and she is not ok with how Delores used them all.

Maeve told Serac she needed help, so I am guessing that's where they came from.
