Is there anything left to convey in season 2?
All the secrets are out and the wow factor of the world has worn off. A robot rebellion storyline is not very intriguing or original. What's left?

shareI think you are right that the end of season one could have ben a fine overall ending... But let us see what the writers have in store... remember Fords new narrative has just begun:-)
shareThe revelation that the outside world is full of "hosts" and/or the tech is being used to replace humans with hosts by oligarchs (disposable cheap labor who they can use for any whim they wish).
The outside world is so awful or fake/politically correct/mundane that humans ( or outside hosts) want to take over westworld and make it their own. Thus why the Man in Black never gets tired of it, despite his fortune. Westworld truly allows humans to live their duality vs real world stifled/civilized/corporatized/debt slavery.
These themes were hinted at in S1. Ford (hopefully) may reappear as a host himself (or was his replica the one killed off?)
Hosts achieve consciousness and the whole cycle continues, only with the 'awake' hosts being the guests this time.
Just spit balling.
Do we really know that all the secrets are out? I doubt that they are. But I share your general concern and I don’t see it holding up over the five or six seasons they have suggested are in the works.
shareAre they really talking 5 or 6 seasons? I would be happy with something like 3 seasons as the Leftovers got...
shareWestworld is so far beyond the morose Leftovers that it isn't even funny. Kind of like comparing a Superman comic to Beyond Good And Evil.
shareSorry you didn't like the Leftovers... But I wasn't really comparing the two shows... I just mentioned I would be happy with 3 seasons for Westworld as the Leftovers (another HBO show) got...
shareTheres still some exiextintial stuff to play around with. For example i woulden't be suprised if alot of the hosts are duplicate of the same characters which rotated in and out during matience. Kinda like how each sea world has a bunch of whales named shamu that they rotate out to keep the whales from being overworked. Their memories could be copied from each host to the other characters playing that same host making the hosts indistunguishable from the other. I imagine the popular blonde had to be rotated out due to lots of "cleaning" as she was sexually popular. How will the guests react when they can't identify the one they fell in love with. The only thing going against this theory is that when a host is killed they don't seem to be replaced in the show. I'm referring to the labotimized prostitute we saw not being replaced in season 1.
shareNothing. I am not watching season 2
shareTurns out you were right - Season 2 sucks.
shareWar between the parks? That would make a cool video game.
