Season 3...

It's obvious that this is a huge show, but is it more complex than for example Game Of Thrones?

Why can't they release each season only 1 year apart instead of 2?

Does this mean that Season 3 would be released on 2020?

Season 2's release date hasn't been announced though, hopefully it will be early 2018
instead of Season 1's October release.

I think it's hard to answer that question quite yet. They probably thought they had something early on with season one, but there was no telling for sure until it was done and the numbers were in. They weren't spending any hard money on S2 until the S1 numbers were in.

I'm guessing that it can also be different from GoT depending on how hard it is to keep a cast. All the majors from S1 of GoT stuck around until their character was killed off in the story. But with Westworld, we probably won't see Sir Hopkins again. That raises questions about how they will fill those shoes or if they will even try. I very much hope they don't bring back a host Dr. Ford.

I hear they're shooting S2 now.
