You can't be an extra in a SAG show like that and not get paid. You weren't in a crowd scene where they just gathered people walking by. You were in a scene where you were in set clothes (or lack of them) you'd be getting at the minimum, non-union extra scale but most likely union scale.

I've heard of crew members just starting out in the industry working for meals only, but I dont think that's legal (here).

This is a SAG show. Extras are union. They get paid. You cannot legally be an extra, especially a featured extra on a SAG show without being paid. It was pointed out this POS was lying about this and he's still trying to keep the lie going despite the fact no one believes it.

One thing that bugs me about actual extras is anyone can be an extra. If you live in LA, you simply sign up with an agency and go out on gigs, literally the next day. it's like a temp job. You can eventually get into the extra union and make more money but it's still essentially a temp job. It odesn't require an audition or any skill of any kind
So it drives me nuts seeing people using "extra work" as actual IMDB credits. And in the old days, they still used to check if you were an extra, yu'd have to submit a voucher or check from the agency something showing you were on the movie, or a screenshot. Now you simply say "I was in the new Star Wars as an alien extra" and boom you've got the credit (uncredited next to but still in the movie credits on here).
So you see all these idiots with 100 credits and every single one of them has "uncredited" next to it. Wrong on many levels. share
