Shinobi on Blu-ray coming soon...

ok, so I was about to buy this movie at Best Buy, and what do you know? Someone there actually new something of use to me. The guy told me that the Blu-ray version of this movie is coming May 13th.

Well, I just want to know, does this movie have great visuals that it'll be better to watch on a blu-ray with my 1080p LCD? Or just get it on dvd for 13$?? the Blu-ray one will cost 20$

I bought the regular DVD version last year and recently watched it on my 47" 1080P via my PS3 thru HDMI upscale...and the picture quality still looks good. This movie does have nice visuals which I can imagine will look beautiful on Blu-ray.

I'm sure the Blu-ray version of this movie will look nice...but I personally do not LOVE this movie that much to want to re-buy it on Blu-ray.

If you don't already own it, I think it might be worth spending an extra $10 to get it on Hi-Def. So if you're into movies like HERO, CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON, and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS...I think you'll enjoy SHINOBI. But SHINOBI is by no means groundbreaking.

Effin A!

Eff B&M in the A.

With all the internet vendors available with better prices, im never shopping in a real store again.Walmart cant even compete with amazon and overstock now for some things and deep discount keeps me pretty well covered.

I just hate paying out the ass for everything.

When you get a chance could you give a review of the quality of your Blu Ray when in shows?

This is one I probably would upgrade to BluR if the quality is that much more noticeable.

Thanks

metlar, are you telling me that you don't see any difference between 1080p and 480p (NTSC)? 600 pixels is quite a lot and I'd blame ignorance or poor eye sight for not being able to tell the difference on such a quality boost.

I just watched the movie on Blu-Ray and the transfer is amazing, definitely worth it, as with any movie.

I know this is a really old thread but I just had to throw my two cents in after reading it...not that it makes a difference by this point but there be spoilers all over the place from here on....

She was definitely blind, she gave her eyes as payment for taking her beloved's life. And to honour his wish that they stop living their lives only to kill each other. That was her request to the king when she gouged them out in the first place.

She was obviously not focusing on anything and the movie was full of symbolism, her eyes turning the same colour as the bird was another clue. And blind people can become very comfortable around the places that they live, they can navigate quite easily in their own environment. (the fact she was a ninja with extraordinary powers, didn't hurt either)

PS; I hope you got the blu-ray edition *^^)b
