Why isn't this movie popular? It was perfect..

I really dont get why this movie is unknown. It was the best drama I have ever seen and I would burst into tears at the ending. Never felt like that after any other films. The story, directing, cast, music everything was so good. It is in my top ten favorite list. So why isnt this movie popular?

The only thing i didn't like about this was the end, when the fireman was talking into the security camera and they found this and gave to his girlfriend to watch (or something like this- i watched it ages ago and can't exactly remember it fully), i thought this was a bit too cheesy. How did he have time to talk to a camera when he was in a burning building etc, apart from this last bit i did really like it, just wish they had of left that one scene out!

i think he was in some kind of a 'futureshop' in Korea, and realized that he is f**cked because he was surrounded by fire. So he just took one of the camcorder from the shelves and bid his last goodbye

It was a good film.Probably despite of its all-star cast,it does not have Jun Ji-Hyun in it.Casting Jun would have made this film extremely popular all over Asia.Anyway,Sad Movie was well received in Japan due to Jung Woo-sung's popularity in that country.

Um, pretty much all the main characters are really well known stars in Korea. Jung Woo Sung, Lim Soo Jung, Cha Tae Yeon, Shin Min Ah, Yeom Jung Hwa. Maybe not all A-listers at the time but definitely a cast that is recognized by all Koreans.

Sadly how well recognized and known a movie is sometimes has more to do with advertisement and marketing then the quality of the movie itself. That might have been the case here.

I really wish they had put this out in theaters in America... I saw it almost 2 years ago and I still remember all the details. It was beautifully done!

Anyone know where I can get a DVD of the movie (that I can play on my American region dvd player)?

This movie is definitely in my top ten. I've never cried during a movie like a cried at the end of this one. I think the next time I hear a whistle, I'm gonna cry.
