Amazing direction and camera work. Awful humour.

Why, why the hell did Myung-se Lee decide to put all these awful humour and bugs-bunny kind of jokes into this movie?

The artistic, stylish direction and camera work WERE SIMPLY BRILLIANT. I loved every single minute of it.

If he only combined it with GOOD acting (I mean, seriously Sung-kee Ahn [main "villian" from Nowhere to Hide] acted BADLY in this movie) and some serious tone this could be my all-time favourite movie. I love STYLISH/COMIC-BOOK violence and pop-art direction - this movie delivered plenty but then left me with a after-taste.

The fight scenes and final duel were both amazing.

But for God's sake - WHY THE AWFUL HUMOUR AND STUPID COMIC RELIEF?

I feel cheated. Nowhere to Hide is a korean version of Ultimate Versus for me. I thought that with bigger budget and more experience, Myung-se Lee could create a masterpiece. And he almost done it.

I guess I'm better off re-watching City of Violence. I do miss that fancy camerawork and editing though.
