A movie by Kim Mee-Jeung with Park Jin-hee, Seo Young-hee, Lim Jung-eun, Jun Hae-jin, Yun Sae-ah.

Synopsis : Some time ago during the Cheoseon dynasty of Korea, the body of a servant maiden was found inside her quarter. All the chief maiden says it is a suicide. But nurse Chun-Ryung doing the autospy discovered some intriguing facts that her superior wants to hide. This is a murder ! Chun-Ryung wants to uncover the truths about this, but the road will be hard...

My Rating : 9/10

This movie is really well made and interesting. You can see how hard was the life for those young women at the court. A life were they had to be virtuous all the time. If they didn't respect those rules, it could mean death for them. It's mostly like a detective movie in a wonderful set with gorgeous costumes and great acting. The surnatural plays a part in that movie, thought it wasn't necessary, the movie would have as great without it too. I don't really wants to call it horror, but since movies like "The Uninvited"(Korean movie, not the american remake of A tale of two sisters) or " A Tale Of Two Sisters" are called horror movies, this one should be too. An interesting point about the movie is that it's almost a completly female-made movie. It was Kim Mee-Jeung's first movie and as a woman a still very patriarcal country as Korea, she did a movie with a low budget and a lot of talented young women. A proof they can do as great as their male-counterpart. But still it's a movie about women made by women. I recommand that movie !

The story is about a Lonely woman that is living alone a boring life. She's tired of hurting others and being hurted, so she shutted herself to the world. But after living a strange experience in the subway, she began to open herself to a young woman in a wheelchair. It's her who tried to make contact with Sae-Jin first. I would add:

- Wishing Stairs (Whispering Corridors series, #3) (Korea)

- Coming Soon (Thai)

- Bunshinsaba (Korea)

- Phone (Korea)

- The Doll Master (Korea)

- Haunted Apartment (Japan)

As I said, these are added, I wouldn't replace anything from your list :-)
I would only rather watch the "full" version of Dumplings, better than the shorty on "Three"!
