One thing that really disturbed me (Spoilers!)

So overall, I did like Cello. Not one of my favorites, but definitely a worthwhile movie, IMO, but the one thing that really shook me up was the death of the two girls. I really hate child-deaths in films (and I know, kids die in reality, I'm not living in some cotton-candy land of idealism), but the death of the youngest daughter was incredibly horrific. I was really shocked that she died, I expected the mother to do something to break her fall, even if it meant just throwing herself on the ground, just something to help, but she didn't and I was just left there with my mouth hanging open. The death of the older daughter was disturbing too, but I expected it at that point after seeing how the ghost was manipulating everything around the main character. I guess I had braced myself at that point, but the death of the young girl was really, really disturbing.

I agree, but it was done to make a point IMO... I dunno if the movie was meant to have a moral but I got out of it that everything happened cause of what she did to her friend who she got revenge on, so basically revenge/hate is never worth it. She seemed to have been tortured by her conscience. And by the ened after all that happened I believe that if that moral is really meant, it was a very strong movie! And I think the mother was frozen in fear, the whole fight or flight thing. I actually found the older girls death disturbing cause it was so gorey and brutal. Also she had autism which is one of the saddest things ever to me...
