Yeah, it drives me insane. I've emailed imdb about it and they will only say that they have a weighting system for votes. In other words, if a few of their "regular users" vote, they must have ten times the weight than a one-time voter or something. How else to explain a mathematical average that is nearly 9 but a weighted average of less than 4? It's exasperating because the film does incredibly well with audiences and the votes are here to support that but the number they put up makes it look like an audience failure.

Because the movie isn't that good. Most jokes are misses and most of the actors are really annoying, the only one not annoying was the lead guy. Just mostly a crap movie.

I have to agree, not very good at all. Just trying to hard all the way round, and I guess I am getting to the point in my life where I am tired of watching people complain about their seemingly pretty good lives. How about Shut Up and live Your Life And Be Happy You Have Friends.

Whenever you look up, there I shall be -- and whenever I look up there will be you.

And that was the point of the movie.

Just caught the movie on VOD for free. A pleasant surprise. Not great, but enjoyable.
