I've just finished watching this movie, and I have no idea why Hugh Bonneville's character rushes off from the blind date with Gina McKee when he sees Mark Strong.
What was up? Did I miss something?
(Are we meant to assume that M Strong and H Bonneville are in a relationship?)

I mean, I'm a very shy girl (until I have a couple of drinks that is), so if I just met a cute guy and am trying to be my best and make a good impression, and suddenly I see him checking out some girl, who's more... posh or chic, I'd try to get out of there as soon as possible.
For some reason shy and insecure people often think everyone is a competition and don't want to fight for a seemingly lost cause.
