Why is this film bashed so Much???!!!
I know there were certain parts of this script that needed improvement, especially the council woman and her son. This movie wasn't that bad. Come on!

Because it really was bad, in my opinion. It was taken right out of the inspirational/black-American/sports movie playbook. They really went for the sappy, feel good theme. Dramatic music was used for parts of the movie that didn't really need it. I mean when Howard's character starts crying after the white team forfeited... OVERKILL.
I agree with tiffany..It was a poorly done movie. A good true story that was slaughtered with a poor script, bad directing, bad pacing,....I laughed it was so bad. It was painful to watch. Sorry!
