Little Baritone
I've just listened to the track you suggested. In a perverse way I found it intriguing but ultimately pretty dreadful. For what it's worth I was a professional singer for 10 years, & during this time I heard some great Queens of the Night (including Sumi Jo & Luciana Serra). Who is this album recorded for? Certainly not people who love opera. I also doubt that it would be successful on the pop charts. This young woman does not have a particularly good voice, & her top notes are not always in tune (this is a cardinal sin as far as I am concerned). This aria is odd repertiore for a pop singer. I'm not a purist when it comes to classical music (I love the "Aria" albums), but this woman really has gone too far! What did you think of it Little Baritone?
