So that sucked....

I'm a horror fan, and while homage to the classics is entertaining from time to time... I have to agree that this is probably the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. Bad acting, bad writing, bad directing, bad music, simply terrible.

reply

I agree. I saw it last night and fast forwarded the whole goddamn thing. I have documented pretty much every horror movie I've seen and I'm up to 567 movies. Here's a list of movies that are the worst of the worst and I highly recommend not watching:

Bad Reputation (2005)
Bleed (2002)
Blood Trails (2006)
Bones (2001)
Dark Fields (2006) but was really made in (2003)
Dark Heaven (2002)
Dark Reality (2006)
Dark Water (2005)
Death Tunnel (2005)
Devon's Ghost: Legend of the Bloody Boy (2005)
Drive-Thru (2007)
Ed Gein: Butcher of Plainfield (2007)
Experiment in Torture (2007)
Guardian of the Realm (2004)
Horrible Dr. Bones, The (2000) So bad that it's my name...or is it so good?
Hostel: Part II (2007)
Miner's Massacre "Curse of the Forty-Niner" (2003)
Pumpkin Karver, The (2006)
R.S.V.P. (2002)
Skeleton Key, The (2005)

And of couse, Hack! (2007)

Man, movies with "Dark" in the title suck.

reply

wow how do u know its bad if u fast forward the whole damn thing

btw i thought rsvp was a great movie

reply

How do I know it was horribe even though I fast-forwarded?
Here's how:

- The dialogue sucked in the beginning and I knew it wasn't going to get any better
- The acting sucked
- The deaths were pathetic
- The film was low budget
- It felt like a cheap porn movie without the porn

I can't fathom that you actually liked R.S.V.P. We are talking about the same movie, aren't we? The one with Jason Mewes (Jay from Jay and Silent Bob). That movie may have been worse than Hack!. The dialogue was just pot joke after pot joke with the occasional beer comment. I'll follow Jason Mewes to Hell for that movie and teach him a lesson.

lol my friend and I watched Drive-Thru and laughed entirely too hard. The movie as a horror movie was not that great, but it was hilarious.

reply

well, it's not a horror movie, but DARK city doesn't suck.

reply

I disagree I watched it and found it pretty enjoyable. Granted it isn't a classic by an stretch of imagination. It was fun

I thought that was a good list until I saw Dark Water in it. You're probably one of those people who don't even try to understand the meaning of a movie... and you also confirmed it yourself when you said "I fast forwarded the whole goddamn thing". That's childish.

reply

A movie is supposed to be entertaining from the start to end! If it's not, the viewer gets bored and looses interest... I wish I had fast-forwarded through it. It's not childish, it's common sense! There was no reason to see the whole movie and the first 30 minutes gave me a good impression of what the rest would be like and what kind of "meaning" this movie was all about.

There are several ways to tell a story and this movie failed at all levels, therefor it did not get me, as a viewer, very interested in finding neither the meaning, the plot or the deeper understanding of this trash. If a diretor really have an ambition to tell me a story with a meaning, he does the job it requires to get my atttention by using good actors and a good story...

Thank you, Biffe for understanding what a movie should be. The other guy must love sitting through boring pot jokes and sexual remarks for an hour and a half.

I can't believe he like Dark Water. That was the one with Jennifer Connelly and the whole movie was piss yellow color? Right? Yeah, that one sucked big time.

reply

Well, of course Americanized Dark Water sucks, but the original Japanese one which came out 2002 is freaky as hell. And is made very well. But one with Jennifer Connelly came out in 2005. But as I not seen American one, I can't say much. Although, most Japanese rip off done in America, suck badly. And about this film, it was bizarre. Truly bizarre.

reply

I actually kind of liked it...it was confusing, but Ive seen SO much worse in my horror buff viewings. One example: Death Tunnel. That is HONESTLY- hands down, the worst movie Ive ever seen. Seriously. And Im an MST3K fan.

hostel 2 isn't great, but it's watchable, *beep*

Dark Water (2005)
Hostel: Part II (2007)
Skeleton Key, The (2005)

Okay, I agree with you on the others, but these 3 are just fine.

I found Dark Water (2005) and Hostel: Part II (2007) to be pretty fun movies. I mean, everyone has opinions and I'm sure you and a good amount of others hated these films... but I thought The Descent (2005) was pretty boring, and I know TONS of people that loved that film (It was okay, I guess).

It's all relative.

Go and see Ulli Lommel's "Dungeon Girl" and then rewrite your list of the worst of the worst.

reply

Nah not that bad not good but enjoyable in a funny sort of way.

reply

Curse of the Forty Niner was a decent flick I thought!

But I have a question, why fast forward through the whole thing? If you didn't like it then stop watching and turn it off man! Perhaps because you said you fast forwarded through the whole thing to make yourself seem cool now it has made you look like an ar5e you cannot retract the statement?
