What were the parts and movies the various actors previously played, which was spoofed in this movie?
I was told that all the characters played a cliche in the horror movie that they were in prior to this one (or at least one that they were in prior to this one), but could not for hte life of me figure out which movies they were, or which cliche they were meant to portray.

-Vincent (main male killer): Played a character in Karate Kid III, and has a line in this one (your karate is a joke), which is the same from that movie. (Also his name is a mixture of Vincent Price and Stephen King.
-Mary Shelly (main female killer): Has been in several horror movies (Toolbox murders, buff the vampire tv show, repossessed, ed wood, etc...) Also has the name of the woman who wrote "Frankenstein"
-Emily Longley (younger female killer): Was on the show "Wonder Years", where she was a main character. She was a virginal love interest of the show. Her being in this movie is meant to be ironic than anything else, and is pretty funny. Not sure about her name meanings, but someone must know.
-Johnny (main character/love interest of Emily): Again, kind of ironic, as he's from sitcoms and more family oriented things (like the OC, which is why its great that the movie ends at a beach)
-Maddy (blonde party girl): Again ironic, as she does voices for all kind of cartoons (rugrats, wild thornberrys, etc...) Her last name (roth) could be a reference to Eli Roth, famous horror director
-Ricky (homosexual asian dude): ON family shows (wendy wu on disney, OC, etc...) Funny cause he sings "I will survive" right before he dies...not sure about his name on this one also...
-Tim (creep/mean dude/football guy): Could be a reference to Tim Burton...not sure
-Sylvia (foreign party chick): Was on the show Survivor in real life, again pretty ironic stuff, seeing as how she lives at the end)
-Old boat captn: Played by same guy from Rocky movies, he's the coach in them. Ironic that he died I suppose. Name is J.T. Bates, which could be a nod to Cathy Bates, who was in DELORES CLAIBORNE, a popular horror movie, i believe written by Stephen King
-Groundskeeper: Name is Willy, and looks like GroundsKeeper Willy from the simpsons, and even kind of has an accent. He's a famous/respected actor, and is only in this movie for a short time, but has been in more horror movies than most people can count...
-Mr. Carpenter (1st guy who dies in beginning): Played by Kane Hodder, who has been Jason for several of the Friday the 13th movies. Name is an obvious reference to John Carpenter, famous horror director and creator of Halloween
-Mr. Argento (teacher i think?)- Named after horror director Dario Argento
That's all I can think of, although i'm sure others can find more...

Sheriff Stoker is played by Tony Burton. He had a small role in The Shining. When he is killed the killer says "Here's Johnny!",a very famous line from the movie. He also took an axe to the stomach, which is the same way Scatman Crother's character died in The Shining
Mary Shelly is played by Juliet Landau. Her most famous role was Drucilla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.When her character is killed, she's bitten on the neck.
