So, during the montage we see the 3 killers and the sheriff's deputy playing around on the beach. Was the deputy in on it and I just wasn't paying attention or was that just a clip from production?
I'm not entirely sure on that one. However, in the last scene Johnny did say that Hack! would be "hopefully without a sequel." so...Maybe they'll be a sequel and they're leaving it open for one. This is a movie based on clichés after all. XD

I think iit was a horror movie about people making a horror movie, that was based on other horror movies.
So in the end I think everyone was in on it
and the end clip were the producers/creators etc.
I just finished watching this and I think the deputy was a part of it. If the husband was willing to kill his wife the deputy would have no problem killing the Mary Shelley character. Maybe that way he gets the film rights for himself and do a sequel if he wants.

shareYeah, the deputy was in on it...that's why they show the footage from an earlier kill, and show the couple filming but also being filmed. He was the other "filmmaker".
