Another 'teen' movie with 25 to 30 year olds.

Don't make a movie about "high school" teenagers and use adults of
25 to 30 years old ok? No? 1 out of 10 for you.

Who? Marquette was like 20 playing 18 when they shot it. As of today, 3.5 years after the movie was shot, he's still only 23. So who was 30? Or even 25? Exaggerate much? Show me the math.

Riley Smith is currently 30 years old, Aimee Garcia is 29, and Shannon Lucio, [almost] 28.

Granted, they weren't quite as old when the movie was filmed, but I believe that is what the OP was referring to.

But, this is certainly not the first movie to use older actors in teenage roles, so I don't quite see the problem, either.

reply

Yeah, you'd probably have to stop watching movies about teens all together to avoid ever seeing a non-teen in a teen role.

The only person I knew that was over 25 was Riley Smith. But everyone else could pass for a high school student. They all look so young.

Didn't really have a problem with it.

seriously ? shut up its a movie

reply

You think this movie is bad. Watch Fired Up. It has 30 years old trying to pass off as high school students. And they actually looked thirty.

Why is everybody starting to make a big deal about people in their mid 20s playing teenagers. They have been doing it for years, why such a fuss now?

reply

It's IMDb, where idiots come to bitch about the meaningless.

I gave it 10/10
I would only whine about it if they used teenagers in adults' roles
Actually, I enjoyed this so much.

When the movie was shown in 2007, Chris Lowell was only 23. That means he must have been just over 20 at the start of production of the movie. His rosy cheeks in the movie worked well for an 18-year old high-school senior character. Most men lose that sanguine color after mid-20s.
