Devastating

I watched this film again on the recent 15th anniversary of 9/11.

The last half hour in particular is utterly devastating. We can only imagine the unspeakable terror and horror of what the passengers and crew endured before the final tragic outcome, but Paul Greengrass gives us a deeply affecting, honourable and lasting tribute to the struggle they faced with the hijackers.

Anyone who witnessed 9/11 unfolding on their TV screens will never forget it. It was too hideous to fully comprehend then and still is today.

I had just buried my father a matter of days before 9/11 and so the two events are forever linked in my heart.
