Gshanger You seem to know every thing about Stanley Kubrick. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?

Have you seen Fear and Desire? What is your honest opinion of it? Will it ever get released?

Have you read the Phantom Blupper? Does it work? it sounds a little far fetched to me.

Have you or are you really making a film about the making of Full Metal Jacket? If so can I see it?

Did Kubrick's daughter film a making off for Full Metal Jacket like the one she did for the Shining?

Do you see the Shining as a horor film? I see it as a comedy, I think Kubrick was taking the piss.

Do any deleted scenes exist for any of his films? Do you know of any for Full Metal.

Did Stanley Kubrick cheat on his wife or is this bull?

Thanks.

Gshanger!!! You seem to know everything about Stanley Kubrick. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?

1. Have you seen Fear and Desire? What is your honest opinion of it? Will it ever get released?
2. Have you read the Phantom Blooper? Does it work? It sounds a little far-fetched to me.

1. Yes! Love it! No, never-ever!!!

2. No, it's hard to find, but, I will read it soon. Hasford is a genius, so I know it will work!!! It's a novel, "far-fetched" doesn't apply here - have a look for yourself:
Gustav Hasford's Vietman Trilogy

The Short-Timers (1979) - Hasford always nicknamed his book Shorty & it became FMJ
Phantom Blooper (1990)
Exit Wounds (unpublished/possible title) - "The story involved Private Joker taking a job as a reporter in Los Angeles in the years after the war."
Phantom Blooper:

"This book was actually completed before Full Metal Jacket was released in 1987, but for some reason not published by Bantam until 1990, at which time Gus put out a press release, wildy attacking his editor. An excerpt of the novel was printed in the January 1990 issue of Playboy. It is a more powerful, more personal story than The Short-Timers, in its description of life among the Viet Cong and how that affects Private Joker. If The Short-Timers details the making of an American solider, this book shows the unmaking. In Hasford's original draft, Joker's conversion was so complete that he became an active VC, going out and killing his fellow Marines. As the inside cover says, "Here is another major novel of the Viet Nam experience from one of its most startlingly able chroniclers... Joker's personal odyssey exposes a searingly honest, tragic, and brutal truth about the war that damned a generation and the betrayal that scarred us all." This was supposed to be the second volume of Gus's Viet Nam trilogy, but the final novel was never finished. The Phantom Blooper is currently out of print, but you can download the entire text right here!" -from: http://www.gustavhasford.com/phantom.html

3. Yes, I'm in dee research phase now. It's called, Shorty! - it's about dee life story of Gustav Hasford, who more than any other novelist, treated Kubrick with dee most disdain (Stephen King is a distant-second). Yes, you can see it...

4. No! Vivian Kubrick (http://imdb.com/name/nm0473588/) was FMJ's music composer, but she used dee pseudonym, Abigail Mead (btw, she is in FMJ (uncredited; she is the "News Camera Operator at Mass Grave") -&- she also co-composed dee music for The Mao Game (Joshua John Miller, 1999: http://imdb.com/title/tt0198715/)

5. An awe-inspiring horror flic, that actually scared the bah-jesus out of it's audience

6. Yes & NO: if they exist, and they do, we will never see them!!! None for FMJ

7. This is an absurd question????

Viddy well, Stanley_Kubrick_2. Viddy well....
