RED BALLOON MEANING!!!

Hello friends. I loved this movie and have always wondered what the red balloon meant. I have read some of the posts and have thought they were interesting, but never really thought they clicked. I have found a meaning that I like and believe to be fair. I am not sure if and what the writer meant but this makes sense to me. Tell me what you think.


The red balloon represents the spirit of a lost life and by letting it go you acknowledge the pain you feel and releasing it at the same time. It is supposed to help people with their grief. It is a process called grief recovery.


As you watch the balloons
disappear out of site,
feel the balloons lifting away the problems, the pain
and the unwanted emotions.
Let the old memories be cast
into the air.
A secret message of hope and renewal will be heard by the wind.

I wish I could take the credit for this one!!! I was watching a episode of Desperate Housewives and they had a scene that Gabby released a red balloon to deal with her grief over a miscarriage. I did some research and this is what I came up with. Kinda sad when you think about it. Awesome writing and makes me love the movie even more!!!!
