Best and Most Important Film I Saw at 2007 Sundance Film Fest
Khadak is easily the best and most important film I saw at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. It deseves sincere praise for its artistry, vision and power as it will surely be discussed by those who "get it" along side the works of Andrei Tarkovsky, Stanley Kubrick, Krzysztof Kieslowski, and Werner Herzog.
At the Q&A co-director Jessica Woodworth said that not a single member of the press had contacted her for an interview and the film still needs to find a distributor (buyer). What a shame for such a great film to be invisible. I hope that this beautifully moving and purely cinematic film will find the large audience it deserves and needs.
