Why do you think they didn't teach Olivia or Marin the abilities?? I never got that in the game. They could have helped Gideon...
Also, as I'm sure some of you are, I'm a little bummed that the trilogy was cancelled. I know some people had issues but I love the story, and the look of the game is awesome. Very colorful, very cool.

Had they been taught the abilities, then they probably would have been able to free themselves from the room. It's what I call "author's convience".

Marin did learn the powers. However, neither Olivia, Gideon, nor Marin had the translator implants in their ears. The Aurelians couldn't teach them the powers.
Let's hope this online petition gets off the ground and we see the sequels on the next-gen consoles.
i don't think i've ever saved olivia, i always save gideon and ethan because i like their dialogue better.
and marin does learn some abilities towards the end of the game.
Plus it's weird later on because Gideon says to Marin something along the lines "Now's not the time to be flirting with me!", which is kind of awkward if Olivia is still around.
