Completely obsolete movie after watching The Deer Hunter

It just doesn't add anything that wasn't 10 times more meaningful and electrifying in The Deer Hunter already?

I don't understand how you can compare the movies. Yeah, they both have russian roulette in it. I don't really think this was a comment on how war changes people....

The films are completely different.

The Deer Hunter is about how men are changed after war and how some are unable to transition back to a "normal" civilian life.

This movie is about how the ubar powerful play games with average people's lives.
