Derivative, but I thought it was pretty good.

It's impossible to deny that this was an unoriginal film. Yes, there were two or three moments, but other than that... It's all the same stuff.

Despite it's flaws and lack of originality, I enjoyed this quite a lot. I thought it was effective and fairly chilling; the loud cries of the baby got me really uneasy, and the ghost girl Sachiko was creepy as hell. And that crawling...

Overall, I thought "Shibuya Kaidan" was good, but you'd probably only like it if you're not tired of the long-haired ghost story yet. Still recommended for J-Horror fans. What does everyone else think?

The wide eyes and open mouth on the cover is what first attracted me to the film. Then of course the synopsis completely bought my interest.

I thought the whole concept of a murdered baby growing into a five-year-old child just so she could do the creepy walk and kill people was a little cheesy. To me, a lot more should’ve been left to the imagination by only occasionally showing something bloody and squirming under a blanket and creepy sounds of a baby crying. But then again, Sat-Chan appearing in reflections and at Ayano’s door was pretty chilling.

The movie is a very good Urban Legend film, despite any disappointments I have. One of the things I like about Asian horror as opposed to a lot American ghost movies is a lot of them still seem to hold close to the whole idea that there really is no beating the curse or the ghost.

I was surprised that I actually liked this film. I'm a K- and J-Horror addict so that's propably why.. There was one really creepy moment I really liked: the one where the swing started swinging by itself and that girl sitting on the slide (I don't remember her name).

Yeah, this takes a lot from other J-horror. Hell theres a whole scene clearly robbed from Ju-On. But, I enjoyed it too. I dont know.. it was just entertaining :)
