Any reason the Emmies hate Scfi-Fi?
There have been some great science fiction shows made throughout the years, some of which have been much better than the crap that gets nominated every year. The best a science fiction can hope for is an emmy for make-up or visual effects.
Where's the justice? Will & Grace gets 15 nominations, but Stargate SG-1 gets 1 nomination? SG-1's a serious sci-fi but it's a lot funnier and entertaining than W&G. And what's even more annoying is that after 8 years SG-1 still hasn't won ANY emmy, whilst worse shows have won the major emmies and even worse shows have beaten SG-1 in it's categorie.
Ray Ramano, an 'actor' who moves as many facial muscles as Keanu Reeves, has won an emmy, and yet Ricahrd Dean Anderson goes without a nomination.
If reality shows can have their own categorie (even though all of them are just crap) then why not sci-fi?
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Democracy simply doesn't work.
