This the best show ever

I agree with you somewhat. I remember watching a couple of earlier episodes and it was good, yet nothing special. I watched a recent episode last night with my girlfriend who enjoys it and I was appalled.

Cinematography = wooden and two-dimensional.
Acting = unrealistic, false, disjointed emotions, just silly.
Story = interesting, quite like it

I feel that at points the show came together and entertained me, but in retrospect, the writers and director cannot handle the amount of characters and subplots, it's trying to be a low-key, dark comedy yet failing to me.

The episode last night saw a power cut, to which most of the inhabitants, of opposite sex, came on to each other and some kissed. WHAT?! WHAT A LOAD OF....
I also witnessed one of the most forced lines on television - A man and woman, man has girlfriend, having affair with this woman whilst staying at hotel, woman says completely out of context 'If we only had one day left on Earth, this is where I'd want to be,' YADDA YADDA YADDA.

Sorry, I'm as open-minded as the next guy but this series can be brushed aside with the all the other Soap's (that's what it seems to be to me).


A thought hath stricken my mind however..........it may just be for females????
