Lost it's edge when Max Beesley Left

he wasn't just the male lead actor but also the narrator.

his voice was the first thing you would hear and without his character the show can never recover.

i thought Tamzin leaving was very bad for the show but with Max , Natalie & Emma all having effectively left it is getting ridiculous.

it is a bit like the guy who plays robin hood , he is leaving the show yet he is the star?

any thoughts?

Season 3 wasn't good at all but it was certainly dead with Charlie gone

I think the show "mirrors" the hotel industry. The turnover is phenomenal - my mother worked in that industry (albeit at a provincial hotel as opposed to 5 star luxury).

Some of the shenanigans and storylines are very accurate.

The thing with Babylon is the number of strong characters. For example, I think Tony is the one holding it all together. I also thought Rebecca's character wasn't much of a miss at all.

I believe the secret is to build up characters before letting established characters leave.

To be honest, I felt the same way when I watched the episode in which Charlie leaves. Without Charlie, the show was much less appealing to me. I basically watched the show just to see him!

But I still loved the rest of the third season and especially the season finale. I think Dexter Fletcher is quite capable to carry the show and without the main characters like Rebecca and Charlie we get to see a lot more of characters like Gino and James.

I am still very much looking forward to the fourth season, if there will be one...

the show jumped officaly jumped the shark when Natalie Mendoza took a lack luster exit. The Charlie character was essentially a bad guy and you knew he was coming to a bitter end. He was right to leave.

I agree with a lot of the comments here. I enjoyed the episodes right up to the one after Charlie left. I watched the last few episodes of series 3, but could not help to think I could be spending my time more wisely.

I won't be watching any more of it.

As someone else said; I'll watch it until Dexter Fletcher leaves, even if Max Beesley was still there actually, Tony has always been my favourite and can carry a show, the other great watch-worthy charavters like James and Gino (<333) aside.

JESSIE There, now I can change my ID as often as I damn well please.

Why did Max Beesley leave, exactly?

When the two main cast members left, the show ran out of steam.
