Has anyone seen this movie?

Any comments or feedback from this movie? I am interested to hear people's thoughts.

No, but I hope it gets picked up for distribution because I'm dying to see it. I saw it being filmed when I was in Port Perry. I want to see this movie for sure.

Where is Post Perry? Looked like east coast lobsters in the film.

I saw it at a film festival. I liked the story concept and town location is really great. The acting is very good. The teenage son in the movie (playing Jake) nailed an emotional scene he had Colm Meaney. Graham Greene is always really funny and I thought the entire cast was strong. I thought it was a touch long though. I felt the middle section got redundant and the pacing could have been sped up through there. Otherwise, it was a really nice story with some good messages, some emotional moments, and some ironic/understated humor throughout. I'm sure you'll get a chance to see this sometime in the theatre or cable or DVD because the production value is good. It just takes time for a movie to go through its release, esp. an indie movie.

Yep, saw it last night at a San Diego Cinema Society event, it was entertaining although a bit slow in places (perfect kind of simple message kind of film for the entire family). Colm Meaney stars as a Maine lobsterman who finds some moss with the ability to perform miracles. Graham Greene's sheriff is amusing as the town's wiseman.

And we thought it was delightful! It was a warm hearted film with an indie feel.

Colm Meany was wonderful, and we also really enjoyed Graham Greene as the policeman. His accent was the best of all and his trip through town searching for the thief was very funny. One scene has him leaving the hardware store after questioning the owners and shoplifting a putty knife on his way out...sublime!

It had a bit of a British coastal feel. Very small town, everyone knows everyone else, etc.

My friend said it was reminiscent of Waking Ned Devine, but not nearly as good.

We are 40 something...we felt this would be a great multigenerational film to sit and watch with the 70something parents. They would LOVE it!

Netflix has it, oh how I love Netflix.

You can instantly stream it even! Oh yes.
