This movie is just crap. . First off this movie is painfully slow and even when their is ghosts, their not scary and pose no real harm. Secondly Im so sick of seeing creepy ghost kids. Its been done to death. Their is nothing in this movie that is different its just a cash in of other different better asian horror films. Not worth the 28 bucks the Chain stores (FYE etc) want for it. If you wanna see some great asian ghost movies. See Ju-On or Grudge in english.

This movie was tastefully created. Unlike the recent Asian horror films.

This movie is nothing more than a shameless patchwork of other horror movies out there.
Is that your definition of a "tastefully created" movie? Blatant plagiarism?

Do you even attend film festivals?! You only see the movies that Hollywood spoonfeeds you.

And you're not the best candidate to call this film "Blatant plagiarism".
Do you have a PhD in cinema studies?

Obviously, everybody has different tastes in movies, so to denounce this movie as "crap" to everybody unanimously, across the board, is a mistake.

For example, I really liked this movie. Ju-On and the Grudge, however, I thought were really reeeaaally bad. On the plus side, they made me laugh a lot. I literally had to hold my sides because they were hurting from me laughing too much. They were, to me, the most ridiculous films I have ever seen. And yet, I'm not marching around telling everybody to never see those films, because I realize that there is a type of person out there that likes them.

I thought this was interesting though not terribly original. The historical aspect was good. Gave it more foundation than alot of other j-horror movies. It was rather slow and could have benefited from more action and screen time from the Esther character

The women in the film were rather plain-looking though but it's good to see some diversity in these movies rather than just the same old japanese and korean pixie doll girls. It would be nice to see more filipina, singaporean, thai, viet, cambodian and laotian girls in these types of films.

i mean, it's not a masterpiece, that's for sure. if you have nothing else to do it's fine

I liked it better towards the end. I thought it got better then. It wasn't scary though.
