Apathy

It's great how Daniel Burman is able to express the level of apathy in the 30 something generation.

Like 'El Abrazo Partido', this was a great movie.

Daniel Hendler is an excellent actor. Loved him in EAP, even in the Telefonica ad ;-)

What's so great about portaying apathy?

I'm not saying that apathy is great nor that it's great portraying it. I'm saying he did a great work expressing such apathy, which unfortunately has a strong presence in the 30 something generation.

I absolutely agree with you DreamRivers.
I'd always liked Daniel Hendler, but I think he was particularly good in El Abrazo Partido and Derecho de familia.
Just in case you read this... have you seen the "making of" in the dvd?? I love when Hendler explains how he created his character taking into account some details of Arturo Goetz and Eloy Burman's characters in the movie. He says he asked himself "how would the son of this man and the father of this kid be like?"
I wouldn't mind if Burman and Hendler get together again for another film in the future... I love this couple!!

Have a nice day.

I've not seen a great deal of Argentinian films since I live in Australia, and have no friends/heritage that leads me to head towards them, but I've really enjoyed most that I've seen. Bombon - El Perro, Nine Queens, and a few others I've seen but can't recall the name of were excellent!

I hope to catch this one soon.

You have to see El Aura too. I love argentinian movies.

Apathy is something easily portrayed in film, which is why I usually find it very uninteresting, but this film was one of the best I've seen this year.

And late in a star's life, it begins to explode.
